Bourgogne Chardonnay
Our cuvée of Bourgogne Chardonnay comes from two equal-sized plots of vines in the commune of Chassagne-Montrachet.

History and Terroir
The first plot was planted in 1989 with material selected from the most robust old vines of the domaine and grows on level ground and brown, clayey soils, shallow in places.
The second, planted in 2004, derives from select clones now growing on stony and gently sloping ground in the climat called "Pierres".

There is a considerable difference in the style of Chardonnay grown from these two plots. Blended, they yield a seductive wine that is a worthy representative of its appellation.
Very aromatic, with notes of white flowers and ripe white fruits. The mouth is both rounded and mineral, set off by a vivacity that signals lightness and youth.
A Bourgogne Chardonnay should be drunk within two or three years of its being bottled.
